Before the first call: setting up your protocol

Four steps, and you approve every one of them.

  1. Tell us how you work

A short conversation about your business: your hours, your team, the services you offer, the questions you’d ask a new caller yourself, and what you want to happen with each kind of call. Nothing technical. If you’ve ever trained a new receptionist, you already know the answers.

  2. We set up your protocol

We start from the protocol we use for your industry and adapt it to you. It covers what to ask and in what order, when to hand the call over, what never to promise, and what counts as an emergency. Setup is free.

  3. You review it before it goes live

Nothing goes live until you’ve read it and said yes. If a question sounds wrong for your customers, we change it.

  4. You forward your line

You keep your business number and forward it to us, the same way you’d forward it to a cell phone: all calls, only after hours, or only when you don’t pick up.

During the call: what the caller hears

The same care on call number one and call number one thousand.

  • It answers right away, and says it’s an AI

It picks up as soon as the call comes in, with your business name. No hold music, no menu of numbers to press.

  • It asks what matters for your business

The questions come from your protocol: a caller to a plumber is asked if water is still running; a caller to a law firm, about the case type and any court date.

  • It hands over the calls that need you

Your rules decide which calls go to you, which go to your team and which become a message.

  • It never promises what you don’t

No prices, dates or advice you haven’t approved. Asked for a quote you haven’t given, it says the team will confirm the price.

  • It flags real emergencies

You define what’s urgent. When a call matches, it’s marked urgent and the people you choose are alerted right away.

  • It speaks English and Spanish

Callers can speak either language and get the same protocol.

Many calls at once, nobody on hold

A person can take one call at a time. The AI can take many, so a busy Monday morning or a storm doesn’t send anyone to voicemail. Each caller gets the full protocol, without waiting.

Monday · 9:02 AM

6 calls at once

  • Line 1 Talking 1:42
  • Line 2 Talking 0:58
  • Line 3 Talking 2:15
  • Line 4 Talking 0:31
  • Line 5 Talking 1:07
  • Line 6 Talking 0:12

One person, one line 1 talking · 5 waiting

After the call: what you receive

  • A summary in your inbox

A few lines with who called, what they need, whether it’s urgent and what was done. Ten seconds to read, and you decide whether to call back.

  • The recording and the transcript

Every call is recorded and transcribed, so you can check exactly what was said.

  • Your dashboard

All your calls in one place: filter by date or urgency, open any call, and change the instructions behind it.

17 years answering business phones

You stay in control, and we keep watching.

You decide what it says, who gets which calls, in what hours and what counts as urgent, and you can change any rule from your dashboard. Behind it, we review your calls every day and adjust as it learns your business, because 17 years of answering real phone lines taught us that a setup left alone drifts.

Your rules

Changed from your dashboard

  • Urgent calls Transferred to you, at any hour
  • After 6 PM A message, with the summary by email
  • Quote requests Address, size of the job and timing
  • No prices on the phone Never quoted

Questions about how it works

Do I need new equipment or a new phone number?

No. You keep your number and your phone. You only set up call forwarding with your current provider.

What if the AI doesn’t know the answer?

It doesn’t guess. It takes the details and tells the caller someone will get back to them, or hands the call over if your rules say so. You’ll see the question in the summary and can add the answer to your instructions.

Can callers tell it’s an AI?

Yes, because it tells them. It introduces itself as an AI assistant at the start of every call.

What happens if several people call at the same time?

Each call is answered. Nobody is put on hold.

Can I listen to a call before I sign up?
