Terms of service
Last updated
These terms are the agreement between you and airecepcionist LLC ("we", "us") for the use of AIReceptionistGo, an AI receptionist service that answers phone calls for businesses. By signing up or using the service, you accept them on behalf of your business. In short: you pay per call answered, never by the minute, there’s no contract term, you can cancel anytime, and you’re in charge of what your AI receptionist says.
1. The service
AIReceptionistGo answers the inbound calls you forward to it, using an AI receptionist that follows a call protocol agreed with you. Depending on your instructions, it takes messages, asks the questions in your protocol, flags urgent calls, hands calls over to the people you choose, and sends you a summary of each call, with the recording and transcript in your dashboard. It answers inbound calls only; it doesn’t make outbound calls on your behalf.
The AI receptionist introduces itself as an AI assistant on every call. You agree not to ask us to present it as a person.
2. Setup
Setup is free. We prepare your protocol from the information you give us and you approve it before it goes live. You’re responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us: hours, services, prices you allow us to mention, people and numbers for hand-overs and alerts.
3. Plans, prices and billing
Plans, monthly fees, included calls and the price of each call are shown on the pricing page, in US dollars. You’re billed per call answered, never by the minute; a transferred call counts as one call. When and how each charge is billed is shown when you sign up and on each invoice. Taxes are added where they apply.
If we change our prices, we’ll tell you by email before the new price applies to you. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
4. No contract term, cancel anytime
There’s no minimum term. You can cancel at any time by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing month you’re in; you won’t be charged again after that. Fees already paid aren’t refunded for partial months.
We may suspend or end the service if invoices go unpaid, or if the service is used in breach of these terms. Where possible, we’ll warn you first.
5. Your responsibilities
- Call recording and AI notice. Calls are recorded and transcribed, and the AI receptionist tells callers it’s an AI and that the call may be recorded. You’re responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your business and your callers, including recording-consent rules in your state. See our call recording and AI notice and the state-by-state call recording laws.
- Lawful use. You won’t use the service for anything illegal, deceptive or harmful, or to collect information you’re not allowed to collect.
- Your instructions. The AI receptionist follows your protocol. You’re responsible for its content, including any prices, dates, policies or information you ask it to give.
- Your account. Keep your login details safe and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account.
6. Emergencies
AIReceptionistGo is not an emergency service and doesn’t replace 911. When your protocol flags a call as urgent, we alert the people you’ve chosen, but we can’t guarantee they’ll be reached. If a caller describes a life-threatening emergency, the AI receptionist tells them to hang up and call 911.
7. Health information
The service is not currently offered under a Business Associate Agreement under HIPAA. Unless we’ve signed one with you, don’t use it to collect or store protected health information. The AI receptionist doesn’t give medical, legal or financial advice.
8. AI limitations
The AI receptionist works from your protocol and can still misunderstand a caller, mishear a detail or make a mistake. That’s why every call is recorded and summarized: check summaries regularly and tell us when something needs fixing. We’ll correct the protocol.
9. Your data and your callers’ data
Your call recordings, transcripts, summaries and contact lists belong to you. We use them only to provide and improve the service for you, as described in our privacy policy. When you close your account, you can ask us for a copy of your call records before we delete them on the schedule set out there.
10. Availability
We work to keep the service available around the clock, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted. Phone networks, carriers and providers we depend on can fail. Where we can, we’ll announce planned maintenance in advance.
11. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business from a missed or mishandled call. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here with its date and, if a change materially affects you, tell you by email before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Bernalillo County, New Mexico, unless the law where you’re based requires otherwise.
